Some Pictures

Best Buddies Yay for tubbies! Sleepy with Tyler "I love Goldfish!"

Why, Rowdy?

The dog has a really odd favorite spot to sleep. He does this EVERY time Tyler is on the floor. I am not kidding. Every time. (Please ignore Tyler's G's.)

David Likes Celery

We got Pizza and Wings 2 nights ago and you know how they put celery with the wings? Well he saw Daddy eat one and wanted one for himself. He ate the whole thing and wanted another. He giggled at every bite so we think he liked the sound it makes when you chomp down.

How did he come up with that?

David started calling his toy airplane "Moh-ney".  We thought it was just a name for that one plane but then he was finding others and calling them the same.  Then the other night at Grandma Cluff's he found her toy plane and told her it was a moh-ney.  I still felt like it was just a toy reference until today at Aunt Kim's house when he pointed to a jet in the sky and yelled, Moh-ney!  So he has made up a new word for himself.
He used to always call motorcycles, Buh-gah, but Uncle Leland broke him of that.  Now he says Mo-mo, and it takes up about 70% of his language.
I enjoy Moh-ney but it will probably disappear shortly as well.

Week with Nana

My Grandma came to visit from Utah, so our family got together a lot.
Grandma brought gifts for all the kids, and David got a new Momo
Tyler was actually carrying three of those kids around.  We added David.  This is a recreation of a shot taken the first few months when Tyler was home from his mission.  Mitchell, Kenadee, and Tucker were all on his back and Amy even angled the picture the same way.  Very cute.
This is me giving my sweet little man a kiss.  Notice the Momo in his hand.  He couldn't put it down.

New Sentences

David has now started to say:
  • My Lalee go?  (Where did my Ashley go?)
  • I go Nyny.  (Nyny means go to sleep or night, Cluff family language)
  • I ready go.  (I'm ready to go or I want to go with)
He can also understand most things I ask him to do.  Like he can:
  • get his shoes
  • get his sippy cup
  • get the dog's bone
  • get his puppy
  • get a car
  • get a motorcycle
  • go play, etc...

Are You a Good 1930's Housewife?

41

As a 1930s wife, I am Poor

Take the test!

I was completely honest and this was predictable for me. I'd like to know if I'd score high for a 2000's housewife. Probably not.

Our New Family Member

Yesterday we got a Beagle puppy for our new family pet. We researched which breeds are best for small children and every site had Beagle on their list. Even the breeder I bought him from said they are kid-proof dogs. We can already tell he is so patient with David and tolerates all ear pulling, laying on, and chasing. The puppy actually enjoys the chasing. Last night they were playing a never ending game of tag and the puppy was it. He follows David and licks him and nudges David to pet him. It helps too that the breeder has five kids and the puppy has grown up with lots of little people to play with. Tyler and I can already tell he is going to be a great dog for us. And, so far he is really good about going potty outside. I can't get my camera to work on this computer Tyler has been messing with, so for right now you'll have to settle for a generic picture.
