I probably like the show so much because most of my working life has been in the food industry. Some people don't like the show because they get to see nasty conditions in a
restaurant but not all the episodes are about dirty kitchens. Though, those ones make me laugh a lot that people actually think its
ok to serve food with roaches living in the fridge door.
So here are my reasons this show is so great.
- Gordan is so blunt, mean, and the bleeped out swearing is hilarious to me.
- He comes in and asks whats wrong with the restaurant, and no one says anything, and then he tries the food. Then he asks the owners to eat the food and they taste it for the first time! Its horrible. Its like, you idiot, you've never eaten your own food??!?
- Most of the restaurants are owned by families and I love to watch everyone fight and yell at each other.
- One time Gordan ate the food and then had to go throw up! haha
- He seems to be the only person that believes and entire menu of Frozen Food is not ok.
- One time Gordan watched a chef drop a frozen chicken wing on the floor and then he picked it up and put it in the frying oil.
- ok, so a girlie reason I like it, is sometimes the restaurant gets a makeover and I get to see the new design.
- Gordan usually re-does the menus and its cool to see a world renowned chef come up with great tasting dishes for a normal priced restaurant. Gives me hope for my own cooking.
- Sometimes I cry when the restaurant has a successful new dinner service!
